去年12月2日，安省Wasaga Beach 1名男子到乔治亚镇 (Georgian) 的一家娱乐城玩2分钱一注的吃角子老虎机，突然机器铃声大作，音乐声随之响起，老虎机的荧光屏弹出一行字说：恭喜获得42,949,672.95元奖金，1 名娱乐城职员连忙跑过来祝贺，但一看荧光屏上的巨额奖金数字便傻了眼，于是立即请经理过来。经理立马告诉惊喜不已的中奖者说，机器出了故障，这笔奖金不能给，不过娱乐城愿意免费招待他和另外3为朋友一顿晚餐，权作补偿。
/ X, y7 x) F3 J但当事人不服气，于是打电话给他的律师。他们准备入禀法庭，状告安省彩票及博彩公司，索取近4300万元的奖金。但安省彩票及博彩公司表示，尽管2分钱的角子老虎机上没有告示最高彩金数额，但这种老虎机的最高奖金为9,000元左右；而所有机器上都有告示，声明如果机器出现故障，那么博彩无效。据怀雅逊大学电脑科学系的教授分析说，可能是老虎机的电脑程序出现了错误，因而闹出上述官司。 |
