外电报道，世界各地的彩票金用途五花八门，包括支持大型工程建设、发展福利事业、发展教育事业、保护文化遗产等，但“降碳减排”绝对是彩票此前从未涉足的领域之一。日前，在马耳他彩票经营许可管理局的批准下，斯特林·沃特福德控股公司，已面向英国公众发行世界上第一款低碳环保彩票。这种彩票将以降低温室气体排放、帮助解决气候变化问题为目标。 a. q1 Q: t/ D; [ {: b
+ X" @ C9 x; n) I* T8 E7 v 和普通的乐透型彩票玩法类似，这种彩票通过网络销售，每注2英镑，每周开一次奖，头奖400万欧元。顾客登陆低碳彩票的网站选好号码之后，可以使用一个“碳排放量计算器”来估算自己每年的温室气体排放量有多少。这样，顾客就可以根据计算结果来决定该买几注。据悉，每张2英镑的彩票可以帮助减少100公斤的二氧化碳排放量。而按照这个标准，一个普通英国人每周买两张彩票，就可以抵消自己的二氧化碳排放。每周的抽奖将在马耳他进行，并通过彩票官网进行直播。
