只要阿泰没在进攻端犯错误，他永远都是“禅师”和科比眼中的那个“最佳防守球员”。有命中率保证自然最好，但阿泰要是没有那个金刚钻儿，“禅师”估计还是希望阿泰别揽那个瓷器活儿，专心做好自己的防守即可。这也是去年夏天湖人不惜重金招揽阿泰的真正原因。但平心而论，这样的衡量标准对于阿泰而言太过苛刻。
( K+ A/ C7 E M1 K8 F. j- i 阿泰之所以为球迷诟病，原因在于第二场阿泰在进攻端的拙劣表现以及最后时刻对隆多那次不值当的犯规。但这并不能掩盖阿泰在前三场比赛当中对皮尔斯的成功限制。三场比赛，皮尔斯合计出手48次，而命中率却只有41.7%，完全没有了对魔术时的那般神勇，阿泰的贡献可见一斑。而且阿泰的贡献并不仅限于此，他在协防雷阿伦以及顶防戴维斯方面也有不错的表现，所以仅仅因为阿泰在进攻端表现一般就对其大加指责，显然是舍本逐末。况且阿泰并非以进攻见长。
+ ^0 Q1 j/ C3 o7 z* | 任何人都有犯错误和低迷的时候，但就看你能否在关键时刻救赎。第二场比赛，加内特状态同样低迷，但因为其在末节得到了关键的两分和两个篮板，所以加内特完成了自我救赎，而贻误了湖人战机的阿泰只能成为众矢之的。
`: ~ U4 s% H; ~, } 但需要注意的是，阿泰的盲目出手并非是他一个人的错误。要知道，第二场比赛科比不但犯规过多而且表现低迷，而这个时候阿泰充当着湖人外线的头号人物，挺身而出也就显得顺理成章。只不过天不遂人愿，阿泰的投篮屡屡弹筐而出，这也成了阿泰被人诟病的缘由。但要知道，湖人主场输球的原因在于无法限制雷.阿伦和隆多的发挥，这和阿泰并无多大关系。% P- _0 Q# L* i# L
实际上，湖人已经应该为自己感到庆幸，毕竟阿泰本赛季已经“隐忍”了一个赛季之久，要知道对于阿泰这样一个习惯于活在聚光灯下，并且不甘人后，偶尔还管不住自己火爆脾气的“野兽”而言，如今在退居幕后之后，阿泰依然能有如此表现已经相当不错。再去过分指责阿泰，显然是吹毛求疵。
