2007年8月2日，以赛会头号种子身份出战的达维登科在科在波兰索波特公开赛和阿根廷选手安古诺的比赛进行到决胜盘时，突然宣布因伤退赛。赛后，英国知名博彩网站必发公司对本场比赛的真实性提出了质疑，并且上报了ATP男子职业网球协会。因为当时在俄罗斯国内有多人下注赌达维登科输球，涉赌资金高达150万美金。
