“产业数字化”已成为数字经济新阶段的重要主题，新模式、新业态、新理念正在形成，并逐渐演变成全球产业数字化经济发展的“新动能”。
产业数字化，就是利用现代信息技术对传统产业进行全方位、全角度、全链条的改造。产业结构优化升级是提高我国经济综合竞争力的关键举措。现代信息技术对经济发展具有独特的放大、叠加、倍增作用。研究成果表明，数字化程度每提高10%，人均GDP增长0.5%至0.62%。产业数字化以“鼎新”带动“革故”，以增量带动存量，通过推动互联网、大数据、人工智能和实体经济深度融合，提高全要素生产率。
如何推动产业数字化？
以智能制造为重点推动产业数字化转型。一是强化企业数字化技术改造，应用物联网、云计算和自动化控制等技术，对机器设备和生产流程等进行优化更新，使企业从单机生产向网络化、连续化生产转变，显著提升企业的生产效率与产品品质。二是开展中小企业工业互联网基础性改造，推动低成本、模块化设备和系统的部署实施。三是大力推广智能制造新模式，着力打通中小企业生产过程各环节的全数据链，鼓励企业深入挖掘数据价值，促进设计、生产、物流、仓储等环节高效协同。四是培育一批工程技术服务企业，面向重点行业建设智能制造单元、智能生产线、智能车间、智能工厂，通过示范推广、技术对接，引导企业应用先进技术和智能化装备，推进存量装备智能化改造，推进企业智能制造水平大幅提升。
